      Amazon.com started when Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon.com left his job as vice-president of the Wall Street firm D.E. Shaw, moved to Seattle, and began to work out a business plan for what would become Amazon.com. After drew up a list of products that could be sold on the internet and manage to narrow the list to five products which are compact disc, books, videos, computer software and computer hardware. After choosing Seattle as their headquarter due to its large high-tech work force and its proximity to a large book distribution Centre in Oregon, Jeff Bezos the started to raised funds for the company while also working with software developers to build the company's website. The web site debuted in July 1995 and quickly became the number one book-related site on the Web.
      
      After the web site debut the rest is history, in the first two month of business. Amazon sold to all 50 states and over 45 countries. The company now becomes largest internet-based retailer in United States. Now the company had expand their business by diversified product sell in their websites to DVDs, VHS, CD, videos and MP3 download/streaming, video games, electronics, apparel, furniture, food, toys, and jeweler. Amazon’s employed approximately 154,100 full-time and part-time employees on December 31, 2014

·        2001: Amazon.com reports its first net profit during the fourth quarter
